Kaleider’s Arch is a commission which we at Freedom Festival Arts Trust is looking forward to seeing in Hull. Currently still in research and development, Arch will be available for international touring in 2023. Always looking forward to the next innovations in performance art, we are confident that the people of Hull will discover Arch to be an unforgettable experience.
An exploration of humans and materials, revealing the beauty and flaws of the global systems we imagine, build, and come to rely on. The audience witness two people attempt to build a freestanding arch, made two thirds of concrete blocks and one third of ice blocks. Freedom Festival Arts Trust are excited for audiences to ask themselves: Will you wait, in the hope that the arch is formed, and for the moment of inevitable collapse? What will we do after the fall?
Through the act of watching the performers from Kaleider building their arch, the audience have the unique experience to witness the creation, deterioration and ultimate destruction of something beautiful within one sitting.
