Freedom Festival needs you!
We are looking for volunteers to participate in Bivouac – an extraordinary performance taking place on the streets of Hull on Freedom Friday, 30 August.
The end of an ordinary Friday in Hull. Suddenly, blue men and women burst onto the streets with a wave of smoke and sound, transporting the city into a punk infused daydream.
French street arts titans, Générik Vapeur, have been lighting up cities across Europe for 30 years with smoke, flame, oil drums and mayhem as an enormous troupe of blue men and women lay siege to the city.
This is your opportunity to be part of an unforgettable experience!
The role involves some physical activity. Performance, dance or circus skills are welcomed but no previous experience is required, just enthusiasm.
We are also looking for a small number of experienced abseilers to take part – if you have abseiling experience or you know someone who does please get in touch. .
Availability
Performers: We’re looking for 20 performers, you must be available for rehearsals on evenings of Tuesday 27 August, Wednesday 28 August, Thursday 29 August and for the performance on Friday 30 August.
Abseilers: We’re on the hunt for four people with abseiling experience, you must be available for rehearsals on the evenings of Tuesday 27 August, Wednesday 28 August, Thursday 29 August and for the performance on Friday 30 August, as well as the afternoon of Wednesday 28 August.
