Yxngmind is a Zimbabwean artist who lives in Hull. He is a Hip-Hop artist who mainly makes Gospel Rap, Afro Swing, UK Trap Wave and UK Rap music but is a very versatile artist who has indulged in sub-genres like RnB, Drill, Afro Drill and Indie music and many more.

JODIE LANGFORD - Friday 30 Aug 20:00

Originally a spoken word performer, Jodie Langford turned her talents towards the music industry looking for a wider audience to spread her message and develop as an artist. She comes armed with her unique voice paired with an incredible ability to turn observations of the world and her own personal experiences into relatable, thought provoking and often funny lyrical content that tackles everything from downing pints, dead-end jobs and the government, to more abstract concepts.

Back with a bang, with their synth-heavy hybrid of punk and hip-hop, Counting Coins are ready to start a party. After honing their sound in the rehearsal rooms and recording studios of The Warren in their early days, the band quickly developed a reputation as party-starting favourites on the UK punk scene and alternative festival circuit, making regular appearances at Rebellion Festival, Boomtown Fair and Jera On Air (Netherlands), among many others.

Avis are a 4-piece Indie Rock band based in Hull who make ambitiously creative music and provide electric performances while still having something that feels familiar. Looking at the 4 of them, you wouldn’t think that this bunch of misfits would make the music that they do! Despite their youthful appearance Avis have a knack for writing incredibly catchy songs and are already beginning to draw crowds of loyal fans to their shows as well as recently being featured on BBC 6 Music.

Years of using a pen, paper and a guitar in her bedroom, flooding her notebooks with all built up emotion, Amelia’s passion hasn’t dimmed. Finding influences from the 90’s alt scene, like Mazzy Star and The Sundays, her songwriting has become relatable to people growing up in this era, having a bittersweet take to universal experiences of maturing and finding yourself through relations with others. Described as a beautifully sad experience, her multi-dimensional album is soon to be released, including brand new single ‘Something’, and many more.

Latest single “Fiery Demon Attacks Old Man On Bridge” is the perfect showcase of what to expect. If you haven’t had a chance to see them yet then you are in for a treat!

Having released 2 infectiously catchy singles with Warren Records so far and having played several gigs on the local scene, Trouser Dress is building up quite a dedicated following. They aren’t afraid to put themselves out there and share deeply personal stories through song with a delicacy that is heart-warming to watch. Their songs are as catchy as they are poignant and they may even fly off on tangents between songs, lovingly over-sharing information about their current hyper-fixation!

Moss is a non-binary solo musician, dedicated to capturing life’s pleasures and a toadstool dwelling lifestyle through lyrical lunacy and musical memoirs. Self-dubbing their material “toadstool-core”, they sing with an honest, fun conviction, juxtaposed by jangling guitar melodies and dancing basslines. It’s emotional, it’s fun, and it’s always authentically Moss. Their debut single “Black Dahlia” is available now and there is a follow up EP in the works at Warren Records.

MISS INDEPENDENCE - Sun 1 Sep 16:00

This rising singer-songwriter draws inspiration from musical theatre and alt-pop acts like Lana Del Ray and Billie Eilish. Though new to the professional music scene, she has already made a significant achievement by becoming a semi-finalist in the prestigious UK Songwriting Contest. She has been writing songs for numerous years as a hobby before deciding to take it seriously in 2021 after being invited to a recording studio when her singing talent was discovered online. Since then, she has released two singles and is actively working on new music.

DEAD IN BLUE - Sun 1 Sep 17:30

Dead in Blue are a Hull based Hard Rock trio, with screaming guitar solos, hard hitting drums and growling bass lines!

Resurrecting the in your face Hard Rock and Metal attitude of the 80s, from influences such as Mötley Crüe, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Motörhead, Dead in Blue combine melodic vocals with headbanging riffs to create a soaring sound of nostalgia, with their own modern adaptations for all rockers old and new!

RUBY CLARK – DJing throughout Saturday

A regular at The Polar Bear and Warren Records events and known for playing anything from chilled out head-nodders to dancefloor fillers. Ruby will be providing a bit of background music and filling the gaps between artists all day and night on the Saturday.

ALEN ALLAW – DJing throughout Friday evening and Saturday

Alen Allaw is a well versed DJ/Music Producer from Lebanon who enjoys playing a broad range of genres. His sets include house, DNB, afro beats, drill and even Amapiano. Be on the lookout for his upcoming projects where he plans to bring these genres together.

About The Warren

The Warren Youth Project is a youth support service for 16-25 year olds in the city of Hull and the surrounding areas supporting young people in a multitude of different ways and provides a safe space for them to make decisions, mistakes and informed choices as they progress through life. Warren Records and the Arts Council funded NPO Forged Project supports young people to access creative opportunities, try new things, develop their skills, and in particular with music, help them to record and support the release of their songs, providing opportunities for them to perform on stage along the way.
