10 people, each with their own bench they carry under their arm, invite members of the public to sit down for a chat. A beautiful piece about being present and listening, the bench bearers and the sitters then come together for a final celebration.
Bystanders are invited to the witness the final performance, and with word, music and a glass, everyone toasts to the beauty of small encounters and life.
Compagnie Krak has been touring Europe for years with poetic clown performances.
In 2020, the company started an artistic research project on the connection between artist and audience, and the audience in between. This research resulted in the community art project ‘BENCH INVASION’ – the art of listening.
